July 21, 2023

Key Takeaway: To make your blog content stand apart from mass-produced AI content, it’s vital to invest time in refining the content, adding value and ensuring that it’s visually appealing and reader-friendly.

This involves avoiding long slabs of text, using lists and tables, bolding important phrases, incorporating callout boxes, utilizing multi-media elements, and adding an audio version for accessibility.

Hello friends, it’s Katrina here from We’re going to discuss how you can improve your blog content and make it superior to the mass-produced AI content that is currently flooding the internet.

The problem is, with the advent of AI, tools have become easily accessible and are being used by SEOs, affiliate marketers, and business owners to produce vast amounts of content.

In my opinion, this content isn’t great. It’s artificially generated and lacks thoughtful input.

At CopySmiths, we invest between five to twelve hours on a single AI draft, improving it and adding value where necessary. Effort and thought must be put into the writing.

To make your blog content stand apart from AI-generated content, we use what we call our “content helper checklist“. Here are some strategies from this checklist that we use:

  • Avoid Text Blocks: We avoid long slabs of text. It’s essential to keep your paragraphs short and your text chunked to provide visual relief to the reader.
  • Use Lists: We always include more than two lists (ordered or unordered) in our content. Lists help break up text and make it easier for the reader to digest the information.
  • Bold Important Phrases: We don’t just bold keywords or subheadings. Instead, we highlight phrases that provide real benefit to the reader.

Besides the strategies listed above, you can also use “callout boxes” for little tips, or to link to additional reading resources. Adding tables to your articles can also provide visual relief and present the content in a different format.

Other strategies we use are incorporating “dwell mechanisms” to keep the reader on the page longer, such as a video, and using social elements like tweets, pins, reels, or posts.

Finally, we add an audio version of each content piece to the top of the article. This not only allows people to consume the content in a different way but also provides accessibility for the visually impaired.

These methods have been tried and tested on over 8,000 articles, and we’ve found they work quite well.

So, if you’re aiming to make your blog content stand out, particularly in the eyes of Google, these strategies can help you separate your work from the mass-produced AI content currently flooding the internet.

Hope that helps.
